Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Sensor Test Engineer to work for one of the largest social networking companies in the world. This individual will work within the Reality Labs organization which brings people around the world together through next generation Augmented, Mixed, and Virtual Reality. This individual will be responsible for smart glass sensor bring-up/ characterization/ validation. This engineer will develop test systems to enable rapid evaluation and testing of sensor sub-systems.

Job Responsibilities:

Characterize and validate touch, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, Inertial measurement unit for smart wearables.
Optimize sensor performance based on validation result
Documenting and presenting test results to engineering teams
Working with cross-functional teams to assure that sufficient and accurate testing is implemented

Pay Range: $80-$95/hour

Required Skills & Experience

Experience with touch sensing technologies (self-capacitance, mutual capacitance).
Proficiency in sensor layout, electrode design, and noise mitigation.
Understanding of accelerometers, gyroscopes, or magnetometers (IMU)
Familiarity with touch controller ICs and firmware tuning.
Programming skills to develop software scripts for validation, characterization, and automation (e.g. Python)
Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g. MATLAB, LabVIEW etc.)
