Job Description

Infrastructure Design and Management: Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of core infrastructure services, including Active Directory (AD), Entra ID, Windows/Linux servers, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
Server Administration: Oversee the administration of Windows Server and Linux systems, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.
Virtualization and Storage: Manage enterprise-level virtualization platforms, such as VMware and Hyper-V, and support SAN/NAS storage solutions.
Email and Collaboration Services: Support and maintain Microsoft 365 or Exchange environments, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration across the organization.
Automation and Scripting: Develop and implement automation tools using PowerShell, Bash, or Python to streamline infrastructure management and increase operational efficiency.
Security and Compliance: Enforce security policies and procedures, including patch management, system hardening, and role-based access control, to ensure regulatory compliance and data protection.
Disaster Recovery and Backup: Design and maintain backup and disaster recovery strategies, ensuring data integrity and system continuity in case of failures.
Mentorship and Leadership: Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, ensuring knowledge transfer and best practices across the team.
Collaboration: Work closely with DevOps, network, and security teams to ensure infrastructure meets business needs and operational excellence.
Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Utilize monitoring tools to proactively manage system health, troubleshoot issues, and lead root cause analysis for infrastructure problems.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed technical documentation of systems, configurations, and procedures to ensure operational efficiency and compliance.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
7+ years of experience in system engineering, with in-depth knowledge of both Microsoft and Linux/Unix systems.
Strong expertise in Active Directory, Windows Server, and Group Policy.
Advanced knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud, including IaaS, PaaS, and hybrid cloud architectures.
Proficiency in PowerShell, Bash, or Python for scripting and automation.
Extensive experience in networking concepts, including DNS, DHCP, load balancing, and firewalls.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Solutions Architect, or other relevant certifications.
Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
Knowledge of enterprise-level backup and disaster recovery solutions, as well as business continuity strategies.
