Insight Global is looking for a Semiconductor System Engineer (SPE Architect) with hands-on experience in High-Speed Physical Layer components, including Laser Drivers, TIAs, DSPs, and Equalizers, for high-speed networking applications.
- Define next generation products (specs, features, etc.) based on future customer needs, innovative ideas, competitive analysis, standards trends, marketing and R&D inputs, cost constraints, etc.
- Work closely with R&D throughout the design phase and until production release to address any definition-related topic.
- Prepare technical material to influence standardization activities ensure new product alignment.
- Attend standardization group meetings (IEEE, OIF, SFF, PCI-SIG)
- Visit key customers to understand their challenges/needs and promote new products.

Bachelor in Electrical Engineering or equivalent degree.
7+ years related semiconductor Product Definition / Standardization experience.
Experience with standardization bodies processes, past attendance of standardization meetings and calls
System level experience with Networking technologies (Laser Drivers, TIAs, DSPs, Equalizers).
Good knowledge of analog and mixed signal circuitry.
Strong troubleshooting skills.
Experience presenting in industry forums such as OFC, OIF, IEEE, PCIe or OCP.
Experience working on products related to Optical Transceivers.
Must be willing to travel over 20% of time including international travel.
Masters in electrical engineering preferred.
