Job Description

As a Data Scientist embedded within a fast-paced, brand-focused social analytics team at a leading global tech company, youll play a pivotal role in scaling data science capabilities that power insights across social platforms and influencer ecosystems. Your day-to-day will include:
Analyzing Social & Influencer Data: Dive deep into datasets from platforms like TikTok, Meta, and YouTube to uncover trends, measure campaign performance, and inform strategic decisions.
Building Scalable Analytical Solutions: Develop proof-of-concept models and pipelines that leverage AI and machine learning to automate and enhance the speed, quality, and depth of insights.
Collaborating Across Functions: Partner with marketing, engineering, and product teams to align on data needs, define KPIs, and translate business questions into analytical frameworks.
Leveraging Cloud Infrastructure: Use tools within a leading cloud ecosystem (e.g., BigQuery, Cloud Storage) to manage, query, and analyze large-scale datasets efficiently.
Applying Statistical & ML Techniques: Employ clustering, predictive modeling, and other statistical methodologies to segment audiences, forecast outcomes, and optimize campaign strategies.
Supporting Data Infrastructure Growth: Contribute to the evolution of internal data tools, including a newly launched Brand Influencer CRM and database, ensuring they are analytically robust and scalable.
Driving Innovation: Integrate AI-driven approaches into workflows, continuously exploring new ways to enhance data utility and stakeholder impact.
Managing Multiple Workstreams: Operate in an agile environment, juggling multiple projects while contributing to the broader vision of building a best-in-class social data science function.

Required Skills & Experience

7+ years of hands-on experience in data science, with a strong emphasis on marketing analytics, campaign measurement, and social media data.
Proficiency in SQL and Python, with demonstrated experience working in cloud-based environments (preferably Google Cloud Platform, including BigQuery and Cloud Storage).
Deep understanding of statistical modeling and machine learning techniques, including clustering, predictive modeling, and classification, applied to real-world marketing or media datasets.
Proven ability to integrate AI solutions into analytical workflows to enhance automation, insight generation, and stakeholder impact.
Strong grasp of marketing performance metrics, paid media strategies, and influencer/social campaign dynamics.
Experience managing complex, multi-source datasets, including social platform APIs (TikTok, Meta, YouTube) and CRM systems, with a focus on scalability and data quality.
