We are looking for a Software Engineer with experience in data infrastructure for ML/CV to join a top research team in Burlingame CA. The ideal candidate will also have experience bringing-up and debugging robot hardware and software, implementing ML/CV infra and models, and collaborating across disciplines.
Develop data infra, including data loading, preprocessing, synchronization, quality control, dataset clean-up, and featurization
Build, bring-up, test, and maintain software-hardware systems for human and robot data collections
Provide engineering support to Research Assistants during data collections
Design and implement experimental protocols for data collections with humans or robots
Deliver high-quality source-controlled code with thorough documentation

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Robotics, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
Strong coding ability in Python, PyTorch, and software best practices (code reviews, version control)
Experience implementing data loading, preprocessing, synchronization, and quality control to enable ML/CV training and evaluation
Experience bringing-up and debugging prototype/scientific software AND hardware systems (e.g., robotics platforms, multi-camera systems, human sensing systems)
Masters or PhD in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related area
2+ years of industry, internship, or research experience in ML/CV
Experience developing ML training infrastructure and developing ML/CV models
Research or industry experience in robotics-related fields, using robotics frameworks (e.g., ROS), debugging robot hardware/software systems, and developing robotic policies
