Job Description

Insight global is looking for a medical assistant to support a GI clinic/department in Laguna Hills, CA. This person must have an active Medical Assistant diploma, CPR certification from the American Heart Association, and a high school diploma. The client is seeking a dynamic candidate who excels at multitasking, brings high energy, and demonstrates a friendly and compassionate demeanor towards patients. The ideal candidate should be capable of working independently while also being an effective team player. Training with a preceptor will be provided for the first 1-2 weeks. The role involves rooming and triaging approximately 12-16 patients per day and collaborating with a single provider in an internal medicine office. This practice is currently utilizing NexGen EMR system, then switching to Epic on July 1st - EMR training will be provided.

Required Skills & Experience

1+ year of experience as a Medical Assistant

Medical Assistant Diploma or Certification

CPR/BLS certification from the American Heart Association

High School diploma

Experience with an EMR system

Ability to multi-task and work independently, kind/friendly demeanor, efficient, team player
