Job Description

Insight Global is looking for an Automation Test Engineer to join one of the world's leading social networking companies. This individual will be part of the Reality Labs organization, which brings people around the world together through next-generation Augmented, Mixed, and Virtual Reality. The main function of an Automation Test Engineer is to research, develop, and test high-density, industry-leading wearable electronics. The candidate will work with emerging technologies in a fast-paced team.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain Python scripts for automated test system design and hardware validation.
Enhance automation systems and reporting using ADB devices.
Automate electrical instrumentation for measuring and generating reports.
Measure power consumption of various device use cases in an on-site lab environment.
Monitor test results, analyze data, and correlate measurements against estimates.
Debug power regressions by gathering device logs and implementing filtering mechanisms to capture any red flags.
Network and build relationships to drive effective decision-making across multiple functions and levels within the organization.
Organize and prioritize multiple work streams to meet tight deadlines.
Apply strong analytical skills to solve complex problems.

Pay range: $65-75/hr

Required Skills & Experience

* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience
* At least 5 year of experience working with and building automated lab instrument systems
* At least 5 year of experience working with and building scripting programming for running ADB devices
* At least 5 year of experience with oscilloscopes, power supplies, power measurement equipments, DMMs
* At least 3 year of experience working in a hardware research and development lab environment
* Experience maintaining and optimizing Python scripts
