Job Description

A client of Insight Global is seeking a technical Senior Tax Manager to join their growing team! This is a fully remote, permanent position.

Our client has broken away from the traditional CPA firm mold. They have shed the audit side of accounting and are focusing on tax compliance, tax consulting, venture capital, wealth growth, tax strategy, and tax structuring. The firm integrates a multi-family feel into a CPA firm by serving as their clients first point advisors when it comes to clients tax, investment, and business management needs. We are looking for smart, personable, and hard-working individuals that want to further their career in tax while also gaining exposure to the venture capital, strategy, and detailed business dealings of a variety of industries.

They have done away with the traditional billable hour goals and operate on a flat fixed fee. They averaged around 20% of salary bonuses last year and with efficiencies increasing, this is expected to grow. By placing an emphasis on planning and projections and extending 100% of their clients, they have created a more uniform work year instead of long and draining tax seasons.

Additionally, the firm comes together 2-3 times a year for training, working, and fun. Destinations they have been to and have planned include San Diego, Nashville, Miami, Scottsdale, and Cabo. Full benefits, 401(k) matching of 5%, and unlimited PTO are available.

Position Overview:
The Senior Tax Manager will report directly to the firms two partners and play a key leadership role by managing four Tax Managers and their respective teams. This individual will be responsible for ensuring effective communication, smooth workflow, and high-quality deliverables across the firm.

The role is primarily focused on high-level final reviews (approximately 90%) with some detailed review work (around 10%) for larger, more complex clients. The client base consists primarily of entrepreneurs and high-net-worth individuals, requiring deep expertise in reviewing individual (1040) and closely held pass-through entity returns, including LLCs and S-Corporations.

In addition to review responsibilities, the Senior Tax Manager will provide technical guidance to team members, ensure compliance with current tax laws, and conduct ongoing research to stay abreast of legislative changes. This role also involves delivering strategic tax planning and advisory services to clients.

Compensation:
$170,000 - $190,000 base salary + Bonus (paid quarterly, ranging from 10-20% tied to overall company performance)
(Note: Exact compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, skills, education, and certifications.)
