Insight Global is seeking an experienced Hardware Board Validation Engineer to join one of the top networking companies in Silicon Valley. As a Hardware Board Validation Engineer you will be working in the testing lab specifically testing the PCB board/Eval board. On a day to day basis there are 40-50 boards that come in and you will validate the board is fully functioning. You will then work with the test engineers who test the ASIC chip on the board. If or when the board fails it will be given to you(Hardware Engineer) to do test and debug on the board. You will test for a variety of issues including but not limited to damaged components, contamination, fitting issues, timing, socket issues, heat exc. You will use a variety of lab tools to perform the troubleshooting and debug with the intent to fix or repair. A strong candidate will have experience working with an ASIC chip.
An hourly rate expectation is between $66-$69/hr based off skills and experience
