Salary Range: $140,000- $170,000
The Power Systems Engineer works under the limited supervision of the Senior Director of SCADA. Power Systems Engineers play a crucial role in the electrical engineering industry, focusing on generating, transmitting, distributing, and utilizing electric power. These professionals ensure that power systems are efficient and meet the required safety standards and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, expertise in power system modeling, and experience with industry-standard software tools.

Masters in electrical engineering (emphasis in power engineering preferred)
10+ year of experience:
o Experience defining power flow and loss calculations across transformers and transmission lines shared between multiple resources
o Knowledge and experience with the integration of inverter-based resources (IBR) such as solar, wind, and ESS to the transmission and distribution system
o Familiarity with microgrids and their integration/coordination with substation relays, protection schemes, and critical load management
o Knowledge and experience with developing load flow and interconnection studies of power systems with ETAP or equivalent software
o Familiarity with grid codes, interconnection standards, and regulatory requirements (e.g., NERC, IEEE, FERC)
o Experience working with utilities, ISOs, and renewable energy developers
