About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Android Release Engineer to manage the full release lifecycle for our Android application. You will oversee build pipelines, manage releases to the Google Play Store, and work closely with engineering, QA, and product teams to deliver high-quality updates on schedule. Looking to pay candidates $60-$65hr.
Responsibilities:
Own the Android release pipeline from internal testing builds to staged rollouts on Google Play.
Build and distribute Android app bundles (AABs) and APKs for QA and public releases.
Manage upload and submission processes through the Google Play Console.
Ensure metadata (release notes, screenshots, app descriptions) are correct for each release.
Automate build and release processes (e.g., Gradle tasks).
Monitor release health through DataDog dashboards (crash reports, ANRs).
Collaborate with QA, Product, and Engineering teams on release schedules and hotfixes.
Implement staged rollouts and handle rollback procedures if needed.
Continuously improve CI/CD workflows for Android delivery.
