Insight Global is looking for a strong Data Engineer to join a growing team within Network Automation. This is a chance to join a growing org for a large scale ISP company. Focus areas will be listed below but not limited to new projects to come. Looking to pay candidates $55-62hr.
Data Source Familiarization: Quickly become proficient with various internal data sources, including legacy PLX tables and the new JT BigQuery-based environment, understanding the available data and their structures.
Data Collaboration and Acquisition: Collaborate effectively with our internal STAR team and other relevant stakeholders to identify, collect, clean, and enrich business-critical data.
Data Import and Curation: Efficiently import and curate data into the target PLX or BigQuery environment, ensuring data quality and integrity.
Automation Support: Support the development and maintenance of data automation pipelines for seamless data import, export, correlation, and integration with other relevant modules.
Operational Analysis and Reporting: Process new data using established analytical processes and generate clear and concise reports for stakeholders, highlighting key findings and insights.
Dashboard Creation: Design and develop insightful dashboards (using tools like Looker) to effectively visualize the results of the analysis and communicate key performance indicators.

5+ years of Data Engineering and Analysis: Proven experience in both data engineering and data analysis roles.
2+ years of network data experience: familiar with the concept of network node metrics, performance management and fault management.
Strong Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
SQL Expertise: Advanced proficiency in SQL for data manipulation and querying. Familiarity with Google SQL dialect will be a plus.
Database and Analytics Process Familiarity: Deep understanding of database structures, data warehousing concepts, and various analytical methodologies.
Colab and Python Programming: Practical experience with Colab and Python for data processing, analysis, and automation.
Dashboarding Skills: Proven ability to create informative and user-friendly dashboards using tools like Looker.
BigQuery Database Usage: Hands-on experience working with the Google BigQuery database.
Cloud data pipeline and processing: experience with data pipelines in a cloud environment, GCP is preferred, including using cloud computing and storage resources, and other native data pipeline capabilities.
Agile Development and DevOps: Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and DevOps principles.
