Job Description

A cosmetic dermatology practice in West Hollywood is looking for a detail-oriented and efficient Medical Scribe to join our dynamic team. As a Medical Scribe, you will play a crucial role in supporting our providers by accurately documenting patient encounters and ensuring the smooth operation of our practice. Your responsibilities will include:

Key Responsibilities:

-Accurately and efficiently document patient visits, including history, examination, procedures, and treatment plans.
-Assist dermatologists in charting and updating electronic medical records (EMR).
-Ensure all documentation meets regulatory and compliance standards.
-Prepare and organize patient charts for review.
-Coordinate with medical staff to ensure timely and accurate documentation.
-Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
-Assist with administrative tasks as needed.

Required Skills & Experience

-High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in medical terminology or healthcare preferred.
-3+ years of experience as a medical scribe in a cosmetic dermatology, plastic surgery, aesthetics or similar environment
-Proficiency in using EMR systems.
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
-Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
-Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
-Knowledge of dermatology and cosmetic procedures is advantageous.
