Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Technical Artist to serve as a crucial link between our artistic and engineering teams. This role involves collaborating closely with a multifaceted, interconnected team dedicated to crafting engaging, first-party infrastructure, systems, and tools for our platform aimed at shaping the metaverse.

Technical Artist, Metaverse Responsibilities
Partner closely with the engineering and design teams to develop content across a range of devices.
Implement runtime logic within a complex real-time environment with performance limitations in mind.
Develop broad technical expertise to assist in a wide variety of technical and artistic tasks, including diagnosing and fixing bugs.
Quickly solve issues with cross-functional leads.
Design, manage and maintain the pipeline from artists and end users through to deployment.
Prototype, profile and optimize custom shaders.

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years of experience developing real-time experiences.
Demonstrated expertise with at least one of the following pipelines: 3D Rigging, Runtime Behaviors, or Animation Pipeline.
Experience with animation and rig profiling and optimization techniques.
Expertise in at least one low-level programming language (C++ preferred).
Expertise in 3d Math (vectors, matrices, linear algebra)
Experience with 3d math libraries (eigen, numpy, etc.)
You understand architecture for complex tools and pipelines with a focus on content creators.
Experience collaborating on multi-disciplinary teams.
Expertise working with version control systems (Git, Perforce, etc.), using advanced workflows.
Consistently give and take constructive feedback, direct next steps, and communicate clear goals and outcomes to your team.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Deep knowledge of real-time graphics pipeline concepts.
Experience with game/real-time profiling and optimization techniques.
Experience in shader languages (GLSL, ShaderLab, HLSL).
Self-driven with a focus on the end product.
