Job Description

Day to Day:

Insight Global is looking for a Data Analyst for one of our top clients that will be taking inventory and comparing equipment in 3 new buildings by using a 3 phased approach in Attainia. First, you'll collect and verify data from Attainia Planit and an external dataset, ensuring completeness and correct formatting. You'll standardize naming conventions and merge the data into a single master file using tools like Excel or Power BI. Finally, you'll develop templates for rooms and departments, categorizing equipment by importance and ensuring compliance with standards through consultation with relevant teams.

Job Responsibilities:

Phase 1: Data Collection & Extraction
1. Access Attainia Planit
o Log into Attainia Planit and locate the three specific projects.
o Export the Equipment and Furniture lists for each project.
2. Gather External Data Set
o Obtain the external dataset that includes Departments, Rooms, and Equipment details.
o Ensure this dataset is up to date and formatted correctly for integration.
3. Verify Data Completeness
o Check that all necessary fields (e.g., item descriptions, quantities, model numbers, manufacturers) are included in both datasets.
o Identify and fill in any missing or incomplete data points by consulting project managers or external vendors if necessary.
Phase 2: Data Integration & Consolidation
4. Standardize Naming Conventions & Categories
o Align terminology across all datasets (e.g., ensure "Exam Table" is consistently labeled and not also listed as "Exam Bed" or "Medical Table").
o Standardize unit measurements (e.g., inches vs. centimeters, bulk vs. individual units).
5. Merge Equipment & Furniture Lists
o Consolidate the data from all three Attainia projects and the external dataset into a single master file.
o Use Excel, Power BI, or a database management tool to join tables based on matching identifiers (e.g., equipment codes, department names, room names).
6. Identify Common Equipment & Furniture
o Determine which items appear frequently across past projects.
o Highlight outliers or project-specific items that may not be needed in future templates.
Phase 3: Analysis & Standardization
7. Develop Room-Level & Department-Level Templates
o Group equipment and furniture based on room types (e.g., Exam Rooms, ORs, Patient Rooms).
o Define standard equipment and furniture packages per room type.
8. Refine & Categorize by Importance
o Classify equipment and options as mandatory, recommended, or optional based on historical trends and institutional needs.
o Include specifications such as preferred manufacturers, models, and alternatives where applicable.
9. Cross-Check with Compliance & Institutional Standards
o Ensure all selections align with current medical, safety, and institutional standards.
o Consult with procurement, compliance teams, and equipment planners for validation.
