A client is looking for a Estimator in the Sun Valley, CA that comes from a manufacturing background. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Analyze engineering drawings and specifications to accurately estimate unit price, including materials, labor, and equipment.
Collaborate with production managers, quality, and electroplaters to gather necessary information for accurate estimations.
Utilize our estimating tool, to generate accurate and comprehensive estimates.
Prepare and present detailed estimates to clients, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
Review specifications to ensure quotations include applicable terms and conditions while conforming to customers bid format.
Use of ERP software to create and modify production jobs.
Partner with plant supervisors for effective job and work order creation to analyze production capabilities and calculate correct price
Track the companys estimate vs actual for every job performed and adjust the price accordingly for future orders
Utilize ERP system to streamline the estimating process by entering process steps and routing steps into the job costing module
Review work orders for accuracy.
Ensure estimates include input from the production department on labor time fluctuations and availability as well as from Manufacturing on lead times and plant capacity.
