Insight Global's Manage Service Division is partnering with one of the largest utility companies to help support their Natural Resource Management team in the form of GIS data analytics and data processing. General GIS and analytics tasks will be governed by incoming datasets and associated Asset Strategy requests. As a GIS Specialist II you will be responsible for data querying, data collection, GIS data manipulation, Scribing meeting minutes, GIS data analysis, reporting and trend analysis. BA/BS Degree from accredited college in GIS, Geography, Engineering, or other related discipline. BA/BS in unrelated field with a GIS certificate is acceptable.
2+ years of GIS experience/knowledge
Experience with ESRI and ArcGIS
Understanding of geographic data types (land base, imagery, etc.)
Ability to perform basic queries (spatial and non-spatial)
Demonstrated experience or exposure using SAP
Experience with managing project data and documentation.
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Works well independently but able to develop collaborative relationships
Past utility/PG&E experience
