A diabetes-focused medical device company is seeking a Prompt Engineer that will be responsible for designing, crafting, and optimizing prompts that guide the company's AI systems to generate accurate, informative, and creative outputs. The day-to-day activities will involve working with GitHub Copilot, an AI code assistant, to create and refine prompts that provide the right context and critical information for developers. You will also be responsible for embedding custom templates and prompts for enterprise use, reporting progress to the CTO, and addressing issues like AI hallucinations. Ultimately, your work will enhance the developer experience within GitHub Copilot and improve internal development processes.

Strong understanding of NLP (Natural Language Processing) concepts and techniques.
Experience working with large language models and other AI systems.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a passion for language and storytelling.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail to evaluate and optimize prompts.
Experience working with large language models (LLMs) and generative AI (GenAI).
Familiarity with programming languages and scripting skills.
Experience using GenAI through GitHub Copilot to improve developer experience.
