Job Description

Role Overview:
Leonid Capital Partners (LCP) is a middle-market private credit fund. The firm specializes in investing across the U.S. National Security, Intelligence Community, and Space ecosystems. The firm is a pioneer in providing venture debt and direct lending solutions to contractors supporting the Federal Government, and the first to do so under the Department of Defense Trusted Capital Provider designation.

Leonid Capital Partners is seeking a full-time Private Credit Analyst to join the firm. The Analyst candidate will be based in the Huntington Beach office and will report directly to a Senior Associate or Vice President in support of evaluating new investment opportunities, managing the active portfolio, and supporting various ad hoc projects in support of the firm. This position is integral to the Investment team, focusing on origination, investment analysis, due diligence, and presenting recommendations to the investment committee.

Responsibilities:
Conduct in-depth due diligence on investment opportunities, including financial modeling, scenario analysis, industry research, and legal document review.
Structure investments aligned with objectives, parameters, and legal covenants.
Develop materials for investment committee presentations, portfolio reviews, and updates for senior management and external stakeholders.
Continuously assess existing portfolio exposures, monitor key positions, and engage in regular discussions with managers and industry participants to stress-test investment theses.
Build and maintain relationships with potential investments and existing portfolio company management teams.
Maintain current knowledge of market conditions, competitive landscape, and regulatory developments impacting the firm and its stakeholders.

SALARY RANGE: $90,000-110,000

Required Skills & Experience

Requirements:
At minimum, 1 year of professional experience, (or 3+ months of relevant internship experience for Class of 2024/2025 graduates), within an investment bank or investment firm. Leveraged finance and credit-related experience is strongly preferred but not required.
Strong academic background with a Bachelors degree (or currently pursuing) in Business, Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
Strong quantitative skills with proficiency in accounting, financial modeling, valuation, and due diligence.
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Confident and assertive in collaborating within a team of highly intelligent, results-oriented professionals.
Skilled in clearly and directly communicating complex ideas and forming independent opinions and conclusions, both verbally and in writing.
Proactive self-starter with the confidence to ask questions, form independent conclusions, and adapt effectively to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Exceptional organizational skills, high attention to detail and ability to prioritize effectively.
Adept at managing multiple workstreams and meeting deadlines in a dynamic, market-driven setting.
Passion for investing in both private and public markets, with a strong sense of intellectual curiosity and a commitment to continuous learning.
