We are seeking a talented Data Scientist to join our team. This team is responsible for 2 major initiatives that will address customer membership abuse and traditional fraud issues. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience working cross-functionally.

Required Skills & Experience

Key Responsibilities:

* Membership Abuse and Fraud Prevention: Address issues such as account sharing, benefits abuse, and unauthorized use of free shipping.

* Traditional Fraud: Combat fraud involving the use of stolen credit card information for memberships.

* Model Development: Build and implement models to address these fraud issues effectively.

* Collaboration: Work closely with product managers and engineers to integrate fraud prevention measures seamlessly.

Technical Requirements:

* End-to-End Modeling: Proficiency in building and deploying models from formulation to results.

* Machine Learning: Strong understanding of machine learning concepts and their application in fraud prevention.

* Analytics: Ability to quickly understand objectives, perform analysis, and present outcomes effectively.

* Coding Skills: Proficiency in Python (most important), GCP, BigQuery

* Testing: Experience with integration and unit testing.

Soft Skills:

* Communication: Highly articulate and well-spoken.

* Cross-Functional Experience: Proven ability to work effectively with various teams.

* Quick Learner: Ability to quickly understand and adapt to new challenges.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Nice to Have:

* Business Background: Understanding of business principles and their application in a technical environment.

* Coding Skills: Proficiency in Java or JavaScript
