A company in San Diego is looking for a Contracts Specialist to join their procurement team within their Technology/IT portfolio. Our focus is to progress plans for categories such as SaaS, software licensing, hardware and software. The team is responsible for strategically sourcing, direct negotiations with incumbent suppliers, executing new agreements, and creation of a high volume of material purchase orders. The candidate will be working with large, diverse cross functional teams (IT, asset management, etc.) and should be able to provide examples of leading teams to successful outcomes in the past. This role will be a mix of tactical and strategic with the opportunity to do some sourcing-related activities later in the year / early next year. This is a hybrid role and the individual will need to be onsite 2-3 days per week.

5+ years of contracting/strategic sourcing experience
Experience running full lifecycle RFP process for software/IT based commodities
Experience working with stakeholders to identify business needs and creating sourcing strategy accordingly
