Lifecycle carbon accounting merges key greenhouse gas inventory concepts with lifecycle assessment and indirect emissions reporting for value chains. Also known as carbon footprinting', lifecycle carbon accounting is key to differentiating products based on their carbon intensity, and incentivizing emissions reductions along the full value chain. The Lifecycle Carbon Accounting (LCA) Analyst plays a key role in enabling the organizations delivery of carbon footprinted/lower carbon products. This position is responsible for leading the development and implementation of lifecycle carbon accounting for a subset of the organizations products in coordination with the broader LCA team.
This position involves technical greenhouse gas calculations, lifecycle emissions modeling, and decision analysis. Role also includes the development of supporting technical documentation, communications materials, and reporting processes. Role may include technical support for policy and advocacy efforts.
Responsibilities:
Lead the development and implementation of lifecycle carbon accounting methodologies for a subset of the organizations products (e.g., hydrogen, biofuels, LNG, etc). Calculate carbon footprints for the organizations products and conduct data analysis to identify and assess data sensitivities and uncertainties.
Collaborate closely and effectively with the lifecycle carbon accounting team including technical leads for the other product segments, GHG verification program manager, and GHG inventory team lead.
Collaborate closely and effectively with internal customers of lifecycle carbon data (for example to enable customer requests and mandatory reporting obligations), including Sustainability and Strategy, Value Chain Optimization, and sales / business development organizations
Support evaluation and implementation of IT solutions to automate data exchange and data reporting.

4-10+ years of experience in corporate or facility level GHG accounting and reporting AND/OR lifecycle analysis and/or decision analysis.
Solid technical understanding of industrial GHG emissions sources and industry best practice guidelines for GHG accounting, reporting, and LCA (i.e. GHG Protocol, ISO 14064, ISO 14067, PAS 2050, WBCSD PACT)
Experience running or reviewing LCA models (i.e. GREET, PRELIM, OPGEE) huge plus
Experience within oil and gas industry
