Key Responsibilities for the role:
Deliver premium technical support in content and time to assigned customers
Accountable to drive design wins in their target accounts and target technology
Leads proof of concept, solution design and demonstrations to secure solutions design-in
Synthesizes customer and competitive insights to improve product definition and roadmaps
Direct the design-in campaigns for assigned customers to ensure early involvement in the customers technology roadmap and timely flow of information to all necessary parties
Understand and communicate how ecosystem solutions can position in the best possible manner
Qualifies sales opportunities in terms of customer technical requirements and establishes value proposition/position relative to the competition
Qualifies the value of products (strengths versus competitive products) and quantifies the technical benefits derived from choosing
Own the system software architect role to ensure broader technical team understands the software value proposition for system proposals
Successfully build relationships with sales team members, business lines, partners and customers in support of sales team objectives
Analyze customer's technical objectives through the use of relevant data gathering techniques enabling the sales team to be more predictive, effective and responsive to customer needs
Assist in educating Field Sales Engineers on new technologies, new product features and their related business value
Develops system level knowledge of target application spaces

- Bachelors or Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years development engineering or applications support of microcontroller based embedded systems
Field Application Engineering experience in the semiconductor industry
- Experience with C and C++ and a record of developing embedded firmware
- Demonstrated knowledge of typical SoC hardware interfaces (Ethernet, MIPI, SDIO, LP DDR3/4, Quad/Octal SPI, USB2.0/3.0, UART, SPI, I2C)
- Knowledge of ARM Cortex M and A based register programming models
- Experience using Real-Time OS systems: FreeRTOS and Zephyr preferred
- Ability to read, understand and review schematics and provide design recommendations highly desirable
- Willing to travel (up to 25%, mostly Western US area focused)
- Knowledge in wireless protocols WiFi, ZigBee, BLE, etc. is preferred
