Job Description

Insight Global is looking to hire a highly skilled, experienced Market-Making Leader to help our client take their crypto projects to the next level. Reporting to the CFO, this person will optimize market liquidity, execute trades, and manage relationships with liquidity providers and exchanges. The ideal candidate is an SME within the crypto industry. The ideal candidate will have a foundation in traditional financial markets (Forex, equities, bonds) where you have experience as a trader, particularly in high-frequency trading (HFT), derivatives trading, or quantitative trading.

The focus is driving new strategic initiatives, growing the existing business, including new and existing partners, and leading and managing teams. They will also manage their P&L. Responsibilities:
-Market Making: Develop and execute strategies to create, maintain, and optimize market liquidity for our cryptocurrency projects across multiple trading platforms and markets. You will create a two-way market that helps the crypto industry thrive.

-Liquidity Provision: Manage relationships with liquidity providers, including individuals and institutional investors, to ensure sufficient liquidity is available at all times.

-Trade Execution: Execute trades on behalf of the project to maximize profitability and minimize risk. This may involve using various trading algorithms, strategies, and methods to achieve desired outcomes.

-Risk Management: Monitor and analyze market conditions and trends, identify potential risks and opportunities, and implement appropriate risk management strategies to protect the project's assets and maintain market stability.

-Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including exchanges, liquidity providers, and market makers, to ensure a smooth and efficient trading environment for our cryptocurrency projects.

-Performance Metrics: Track and report on key performance metrics related to market making, including trading volume, trading profitability, and market liquidity, to identify areas for improvement and inform strategy development.

-Continuous Improvement: Stays current with the latest market trends, trading strategies, and technologies to identify growth opportunities and optimize our market-making operations. Additionally, analyzing buy and sell orders to anticipate future market movement

The salary expectation for this position is between $150-$265k depending upon experience and qualifications.

Required Skills & Experience

-5+ years of experience in market making in a professional environment, with a proven track record of success in managing liquidity and executing trades on behalf of cryptocurrency projects

-In-depth knowledge of market dynamics, trading strategies, and risk management techniques

-Experience stemming from a financial background, including working in investment banks, hedge funds, or proprietary trading firms

-Strong analytical skills and experience using data analysis tools to evaluate market trends and opportunities

-Significant knowledge in blockchain technology, cryptocurrencies, and decentralized finance (DeFi). Experience with exchanges, token liquidity, and decentralized exchanges (DEXs) is essential.

-Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the cryptocurrency industry

-A strong understanding of the cryptocurrency market, blockchain technology, and the broader ecosystem

-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders

-Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field is preferred
