Accounting Associate

A government contract financing employer is looking for an Accounting Associate to join their team locally in Huntington Beach and assist the finance team with various accounting functions. The role's responsibilities include:

Ensure business transactions are reported in accordance with generally accepted
accounting principles (GAAP)
Work closely with service providers and team members to assist with the month-end
close
Assist with the annual audit process including support for the financial statements and
related footnote disclosures
Research and analyze expense variances for company management
Supervise external tax advisors and manage tax returns, K-1s, 1099s, etc. for a
complex portfolio of entities
Maintain and manage relationships with external service providers
Contribute to the Treasury Management of the Firm, including cash management,
investments tracking, borrower funding and remittances, etc.

Salary Range: $75-100,000

3+ years' of professional accounting experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics or equivalent experience; CPA
and/or advanced degree (MBA) preferred
Deep understanding of tax and investment partnership accounting.
Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles.
Strong software and analytical skills, with QuickBooks and Xero experience required.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Demonstrated leadership abilities and strong interpersonal skills.
