Job Description

A polymer manufacturing company is seeking a Sales Operations Manager to join their team. This client is a distributor of products made by their parent company in Japan. They ship out goods either from their US warehouse or directly from Japan to their US customers. Their purchases are solely from the parent company. This is a smaller organization so we want the manager to be hands-on and perform back-up of day-to-date functions well also. We are seeking someone who is currently in a supervisory role or has sizable experience. We are looking for someone who has the flexibility to work across different departments and help building a solid departmental structure together. Some of the day to day responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Ensure the company's logistic operations are in compliance with all governmental regulations.

- Ascertain completion of the department's function and its flow, and by filling in for operational staff as the need arises.

- Ensure necessary customer information for processing orders are captured and up to date and suggest if a change may become necessary for improvement (i.e., credit limit increase/adjustment).

- Maintain working knowledge of logistics domestically and internationally and its requirements.

- Work collaboratively with Sales/Marketing department and provide needed assistance and ensure coherent customer care.

- Assist with annual financial audit as well as quarterly review when the sales, purchase and/or inventory related information are requested through the accounting team.

- Monitor and maintain integrity of data accuracy and ensure solid record keeping.

- Perform routine supervisory tasks such as timecard approvals and performance evaluations.

- Perform other additional duties as assigned by supervisor.

Required Skills & Experience

- 5+ years of experience in the management, leading, and overall support of Sales Operations/Logistics functions such as:

Setting up new customers, processing customer orders, inventory management, coordination of logistics and warehouse operations with third parties, and managing orders from the parent company.

- 1+ years of experience in a supervisor/management role with strong leadership and team management skills.

- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

- In-depth knowledge of domestic and international logistics.

- Familiarity with governmental regulations related to logistics.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
