Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Linux Integration Lead for one for one of our clients in San Diego, CA. This role is onsite at Camp Pendleton. The Linux Integration Lead assists with the planning, design, and execution of LVC events for client supported training events and provides expert knowledge and solutions in integrating simulation systems and platforms. The Linux Integration Lead position is a leadership position that requires interaction with Military, Government and Contractor Leadership. Communication skills are required. The candidate will serve as clients technical and operations Subject Matter Expert (SME) in support of LVC training events. Communicate with leadership on any technical or operational issues and new requirements.

Essential Job Responsibilities

* Analyzes and provides recommendations on issues dealing with disciplines such as military command control and communications, electronic warfare, weapon systems, contingency operations, Military Tactics Techniques and Procedures (MTTP), force planning, and training exercises.
* Coordinates with user community representatives throughout all phases of development concerning requirements definition, clarification, prioritization, and alternatives.
* Analyzes the conduct and results of operational user training, military maneuvers or simulated wartime operations undertaken to main the capabilities of a force.
* Compares, analyzes and evaluates the relative merits of program designs and alternatives.
* Applies emerging doctrine and tactics, whether detailed in formal doctrinal changes or emanating from Advanced Warfighting Experiments (AWEs), Advanced Technology Demonstrations (ATDs), or Force XXI activities, to system design and development.
* Assesses the impact of programmatic and technical options on stated user requirements and doctrine.
* Prepares reports and briefs summarizing support requirements, deficiencies, and investments for various programs and systems.
* Assist in leveraging LVC capabilities and strategies that align with goals of the training program.
* Oversee implementation of new systems and upgrades to existing systems, ensuring they meet technical standards and training requirements.
* Adjust daily working hours occasionally to match times zones around the world where events are occurring.
* Occasional travel is required in support of event planning conferences.


Compensation:
$55/hr to $62/hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Required Skills & Experience

* 9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field or 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field or 4 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience.

* Must have proven leadership experience

* Tactical Training Range operations and management

* Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence (C4I) systems and operations

* Knowledge of Marine Constructive Suite, Joint Semi-Automated Forces (JSAF) simulation or other HLA/DIS modeling tools

* USMC combat and training systems or Aviation combat and training systems

* Proficiency in the use of MS Office tools

* Active Secret clearance

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

* Construct of Operational and Tactical Levels of Warfare events to include live virtual constructive

* Prior military service leadership level highly desired
