A company in San Diego, CA is hiring a Mechanical Engineer to join their team. This company specializes in rugged AI computing and autonomous devices. This person will work on project teams for new customer-driven or standard product designs. They will assist in designing, documenting, and presenting designs and data at key project milestones. They will support projects for the government by using knowledge of thermal and structural dynamics to design optimized sheet metal or machined computer enclosures to meet rugged military and edge environments. They will also specify, design, analyze, simulate, prototype, build, test, document releases to manufacturing required mechanical systems through the ECN/ECO process. They will work cross-functionally with other engineering teams and may be responsible to ad-hoc tasks as prescribed by leadership. This is a full-time opportunity that will require on-site work in Escondido, San Diego, CA.

Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Related Field
5+ Years of Experience as a Mechanical Engineer
Strong Understanding and hands on experience with Thermal and Structural Analysis
