A client of Insight Global is seeking an Accounts Payable/Receivable Specialist to join our clients finance department. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with a high level of accuracy. The specialist will handle communications with vendors, clients, and internal departments, assist with inventory, database, and record maintenance, prepare AP financial reports, issue checks, make deposits, and ensure smooth office operations. Professionalism, courtesy, strong computer skills, and a thorough understanding of accounting and financial principles are essential.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Serve as a subject matter expert for Accounts Payable systems.
Analyze aged payable reports.
Research and resolve complex accounts payable issues.
Support audit processes by gathering necessary documentation.
Collaborate with the GL team to resolve accounting issues.
Generate and prepare accounts payable reports.
Maintain and prepare invoices for processing.
Perform month-end AP accrual journal entries.
Reconcile vendor payments monthly and act as a subject matter expert for various AP functions.
Process and issue vendor 1099 forms.
Handle ad-hoc projects as needed.
Set up new accounts on the general ledger, reconcile selected accounts, and write journal entries for expense reclassification.
Assist with other duties as assigned.

Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
