Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a senior CMM Technician for a client in the Manufacturing space who have been in business for almost 50 years. The CMM Technician will be responsible for the programing of Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM's), developing quality control plans, and inspection record sheets. They will also provide training to internal staff to enable the team to perform faster CMM set up and part checking operations as well as teach them to perform CMM verification on the Granite Table. The individual is responsible for the inspection of precision machined parts by using a variety of precision inspection equipment. The employee will be required to use this equipment effectively to verify conformance to blueprint and process specification requirements.

1st shift - Mon Fri 6:30AM-2:30PM

Job Responsibilities:
* Verification of fabricated parts using appropriate tools
* Use of measurement tools may include: Laser QC, Calipers, Durometers, Microvu, CMM, or any other necessary tools
* Recording measurement data per drawing and other requirements
* Evaluation and approval of dies used in the fabrication process
* Judgment of pass/fail, using the appropriate tolerances and sample sizes
* Identification of approved product
* Protection of parts during handling and maintaining cleanliness
* Accurate and thorough preparation of documentation to the customer of first article and other requested inspection reports
* Conducts visual inspections and sorting processes, as necessary
* Product Release review of parts, documentation, and quality records
* Recording non-conforming product rejections and dispositions

Required Skills & Experience

* 7+ years of relevant experience
* Zeiss or other CMM programming experience required
* GD&T experience required
* Experience with manual gauges: calipers, height gage, required
* 3-5 yrs inspection experience preferred.
* Self-starter requiring minimal supervision.
* Effective teamwork, interpersonal, and communication skills.
* Willing to work overtime as required.
