Job Description

As a project manager the Digital Studio Services Technology team, you'll report to the Product Lead in support of Studio Operations at The Walt Disney Studios in Burbank, CA. This role requires a diversly skilled individual with experience in a combination of project management, product management, post-production, operations and business analyst disciplines in order to manage communications, track and report status for support requests/needs, development of fixes, new application integrations & development as well as drive new vendor onboarding for Studio Operations systems across the team's portfolio



- Facilitate the successful, on-time, in-scope delivery of projects within budget.

- Develop and manage multiple concurrent project plans and timelines with managers, engineers, Digital Studio Services Technology leadership and sister teams as well as their customers in Studio Operations.

- Work with Product team, Operations team, contractors, vendors, engineering managers and their teams to mitigate and communicate project status and risks at regular intervals.

- Maintain up-to-date project portfolio information and documentation for sharing and discussion with stakeholders and management.

- Facilitate meetings, document meeting decisions, questions and action items for attendees and managers.

- Coordinate with Product leads to manage project budgets, roadmaps and backlogs.

- Advise application teams based on real-world operational observations and metrics using custom approaches borrowing from both waterfall and agile methodologies.

- Effectively communicate across all levels of the organization including technical and non-technical audiences.

- Ability to prioritize both project and support needs of stakeholders and keep all work on track.

- Ability to manage resources and dependencies across departments and groups.

- Represent company interests with outside customers and vendors in a succinct and articulate manner.

Required Skills & Experience

- Prior experience managing projects with video technologies, video distribution, and post-production.

- Understanding of both software/product development and video post-production.

- Experience with prevalent project planning software.

- Smartsheet PPM tooling

- Proven ability to support completion of complex, technical projects using recognized project methodologies.

- Experience with teams requiring customized solutions. Our teams do not fit perfectly into existing predefined project management notions, so their solutions must be flexible and effective.

- 3 plus years experience of progressive project/program, product and/or production management.

- 2 to 3 years experience managing & working with teams in technical and/or post-production fields.

- Familiarity with quality assurance and sprint/scrum management techniques and approaches.

- Team player with substantial experience working with highly technical team members in a development, production or support capacity.

- Experience managing resources and dependencies across departments or groups.

- Proven ability to utilize internal and external resources for project execution.

- Good understanding of content delivery platforms.

- Experience managing several projects concurrently and across a portfolio. - Demonstrable understanding of software development lifecycle and software release process.

- Excellent and concise interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.

- Pro-active and possess a hands-on, collaborative working style.

- Action-oriented with high standard for quality and performance

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Experience with prevalent project planning software.

- Smartsheet is a plus.

- Leverage BI Analytics reporting tools to help make informed decisions
