Job Description

Day to Day:

The Accounts Receivable Specialist II is responsible for maintaining the accuracy of Western Health Advantage's accounts receivable, including account balances, payments, and reconciliations. This role provides customer service for billing and premium-related inquiries and educates brokers, large groups, and individual account holders on company or plan changes affecting their accounts. The specialist also maintains assigned Large Group accounts and builds relationships with groups and brokers.



Responsibilities

* Ensure accuracy of company accounts receivable balances.

* Assist callers with credit card or e-check payments and educate them on available billing and payment tools.

* Process incoming checks, electronic funds transfer forms, and Advanced Premium Tax Credit Subgroup Change Reports.

* Create and maintain various billing reports.

* Perform monthly group account reconciliations and process at least one large group reconciliation within assigned groups.

* Maintain, balance, and post all e-Bill payments formats into Facets Application Software.

* Assist with billing disputes, daily cash balancing, and ACH postings.

* Act as first point of contact for all online billing registration and access questions and/or issues.

* Handle complex billing questions and assist with collection inquiries and write-off processing.

Required Skills & Experience

Must Haves:

* High School Diploma or Educational Equivalent

* 2+ years of experience within accounting or billing, including customer support and reconciliations.

* 10-key with speed and accuracy

* Proficient in Excel, including formatting tables, using formulas, and utilizing shortcut keys.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Plusses

* Experience working within the healthcare profession, including HMO, HMO, HSA, and FSA

* Experience using the Facets Application Software (used onsite), similar to Epic
