Job Description

This position works with the Ride Development Engineering team out of Glendale for a major entertainment client - this team is responsible for construction of wood vehicle mockups, seat bucks and guest restraint development, from concept to creative buy offs. They support Engineering with every aspect of mechanical ride mockup and testing request, up to first article production vehicle buy off. They work with 6 axis motion bases, Kuka robot and cycle testing fixtures to include linear actuators and pneumatics. The Ride Prototype Technician Senior will report to the department manager and will interact with both Engineering and Creative departments. Their day to day consists of advanced woodworking operations using table, chop, panel saw and routers for construction of ride vehicle mockups and seat bucks. They report directly to the department manager on a small team of two to three.

Required Skills & Experience

- 3+ years of hands-on manufacturing, carpentry, wood construction experience with fabrication equipment to include press brake, shear, roll, and metal cutting saws and performing advanced machining operations using conventional vertical mill and lathe.

- Familiarity navigating 3d CAD systems and take dimensions - does not need to be a CAD Designer

- High School or Advanced Trade school or technical training

- Knowledge of machines: Table saw, panel saw, chop saw

-Willingness to work 5 days on site and start by 7am (ending between 3:30-4:30pm most days)

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

-Forklift, scissor lift training and rigging experience a plus.
