Job Description

Insight Global's Manage Service Division is supporting a large electric utility client in their efforts to improve asset data integrity and completeness. The goal of this program is to conduct a field walkdown of Electric Transmission and Electric Distribution assets to establish an accurate asset age. As the Asset Field Engineer, you will be responsible for field data collection in your specific service territory. Work will be assigned to field teams to travel the service territory and collect attribution for in-scope assets. Data collection will be done in the form of Survey reports using tools like ArcGIS Survey 123 and Field Maps, as well as capturing photos with high-definition cameras.

Assets will include:

- Electric Transmission: Towers, Poles, Conductors, Insulators

- Electric Distribution: Poles, Conductors, Fuses, Surge Arrestors, Transformers and Voltage Regulators

Attributes will include:

- Installation Date

- Material

- Manufacturers

- Manufacture date

- Nominal Voltage

- Operating voltage

Required Skills & Experience

- Engineering Degree (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical)

- 1-5 years of engineering experience ideally in electrical operations

- Familiarity with electric transmission & distribution equipment attributes such as towers, poles, insulators, surge arrestors, etc.

- Strong communication skills

- Able to work cross-functionally with other teams throughout organization

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Experience working for a utility or construction company

- Competent in SAP, Outlook, Excel
