Insight Global is assisting a Home Security client in their search for a part time Technical Writer, to work remotely during PST, MST or CST hours. We're looking for a driven and collaborative technical writer with experience creating technical documentation for the consumer electronics industry. The Technical Writer will be responsible for creating and revising content for this client's products in InDesign, including user manuals and quick start guides (QSGs) as well as any ad hoc technical writing needs. They will collaborate with the marketing and product management teams. The ideal candidate needs technical copywriting experience communicating product or service features into easy-to- understand benefits to the customer.

* Experience writing consumer facing guides or manuals, ideally quick start guides - for technical products.
* Strong recent experience working with InDesign
* Demonstrated success working with sales, product, engineers, customer service and marketing teams.
* Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe creative suite, Agile, Jira, and other related software.
* Ability to present complex data in clear, concise text.
* Experience technically writing in the consumer electronic industry
* Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, or related field required.
