An employer for a large insurance company is looking for an Automation QA Engineer to join a team of 7+ members (both on and offshore) and build automation scripts, test API, and perform webservices testing. This person will understand requirements, identify test cases/defects, write automation code, and automate these tests. 60% will be automation testing & 40% will be manual testing.
**Role is 100% REMOTE but must work in PST zone. CORE MEETING HOURS: 8:30-4pm PST**
**The employment would be for a 6month contract, with possibility to be converted to Full Time Employee based on performance**

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from an accredited college
2-5+ years of experience in QA Automation - specifically API testing (Rest Assured, Soap UI/Postman)
2-5+ years of experience with Java background
2-5+ years of experience with Selenium Web Driver
Experience automating through CI/CD pipelines or Jenkins
Experience writing automation Test Cases/Testing (writing, testing, automating, etc)
Strong problem-solving skills, critical thinking
Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
