An enterprise client is looking to hire a UX writer in San Diego County who can come on site to Rancho Bernardo 2X a week. In this role, you will create content for digital platforms, which includes technical instructions for set up and onboarding of at home printers. This person will be fully responsible for all of the writing to ensure there is clear messaging that allows the user to have a positive set up experience. They will also need to be able to create and maintain a consistent tone in their writing.
The ideal candidate will have experience creating written content that instructs consumer users. This content will be on different touch points including the printer control panel, desk top and mobile. This person will need to provide writing samples, specifically with content that instructs and calls the user to the next action.
This will NOT be Marketing Comm content, more so Technical Writing and instructional Content for digital touch points. While they will have UX Designers helping with the content display, this person needs to be aware of how the content will need to be laid out in the apps and the constraints that might come with those. This person will work heavily with software developers and UX Design teams, using JIRA as the primary documentation and ticketing software.

Bachelor's Degree in Technical Writing, English, Journalism, or similar
3+ years of experience in copywriting, content writing and development, technical writing, or UI writing role
Experience working with digital development and design teams
Experience with technical communications and/or interactive or instructional content
Experience using JIRA
