Insight Global is seeking a Financial Analyst for our client who provides insurance solutions to catastrophe exposed areas. They are the leading provider of residential earthquake insurance in the United States. This role will be fully remote but require someone to sit in California.
As a Financial Analyst you will be working closely with a number of stakeholders executing on various special assignments that include developing, updating and maintaining reports for financial planning and analysis. You will be analyzing past result, performing variance analysis, identifying trends and making recommendations to upper-level leadership. We are looking for someone who can work autonomously, but also collaborate with other members of the team to gather information to complete the necessary work. In this role, it is required that you have an in depth knowledge of Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas), SQL, and Power BI.
Other responsibilities include:
- Testing, reconciling, and validating data reporting between the Risk-Transfer unit, Power BI unit, and the IT team.
- Establishing and maintaining business requirements in conjunction with the Power BI team for dashboard reporting.
- Reconciling existing transactions through cross-referencing of incoming and outgoing data.

- 5+ years of experience as a Financial Analyst in the insurance or banking industry
- Experience with Power BI
- Advanced knowledge of Excel -- specifically, complex formulas
- SQL experience
- General Database knowledge
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, insurance, mathematics or economics
