Job Description

As a seasoned Manual Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer with a strong focus on automation, your day-to-day responsibilities will revolve around ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products.

You start your day by reviewing the project requirements and collaborating with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders. Your goal is to gain a deep understanding of the features being developed. Armed with this knowledge, you create comprehensive test plans that cover various scenarios. These plans include detailed test cases, acceptance criteria, and steps to validate functionality.

Throughout the day, you execute tests across different platforms. For web applications, you verify user interfaces, functionality, and data integrity. When it comes to mobile apps, you switch between Xcode (for iOS) and Android Studio (for Android) to thoroughly test the user experience. You perform functional tests, regression tests, and integration tests, meticulously documenting any issues you encounter.

Your critical eye doesn't stop at the surface. You're curious and always ready to explore beyond the obvious. During exploratory testing, you dig deep into the application, looking for unreported bugs. You challenge assumptions, scrutinize solution behavior, and detect potential errors. If you find any issues, you document them clearly, providing steps to reproduce and context for the development team.

As a senior QA professional, you contribute to the team's growth by sharing best practices. You advocate for quality throughout the development lifecycle, emphasizing the importance of early testing and continuous improvement. When you encounter incomplete or outdated technical documentation related to testing, you take the initiative to update it. Clear communication is key, especially when collaborating with remote team members. You participate in daily stand-ups, sharing progress, discussing blockers, and aligning priorities.

- 5+ years of experience in Quality Engineering.

- Senior level knowledge of QA best-practice, test methodologies & test plan development

- Clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate closely with remote team members

- Experience working in mobile development IDEs such as Xcode and Android Studio

- Ability to understand the main aspects of the business and user workflows, allowing the QA to perform exploratory tests and find unreported bugs.

- Curiosity and a critical spirit to look beyond the specific task at hand, challenge the solution behavior and detect potential errors.

- Ability to write technical documentation related to testing, update or complete incomplete documentation.

- Leadership skills and self-management skills that allow you to minimize downtime.
