The R&D Engineer 2 uses professional engineering skills to help develop scalable and GMP-compliant production processes for cell-based therapies. They work as part of the Process Development (PD) team to enact technology transfer for new processes from clients or to improve existing processes, yields and operations. Their primary activities are to assess new approaches to perform cell expansion and cell reprogramming or differentiation processes, and to support process characterization, optimization and scale-up. Secondary activities include lab management, data entry, and support of other Advanced Therapy Center projects.
- Running small scale pilot runs to experiment with various concerns or processes they are working on
- Will be helping set up brand new laboratory in first month

- Bachelor degree in a Life Science (Chemistry, Biochemistry, etc.)
- 2+ years of R&D process development experience in industry
- Experience with cell culturing, cell engineering, and cell separation
- Experience with novel cell therapy production processes and
characterization activities
- Working high level knowledge of GMP, GLP, and GDP
- COVID-19 Vaccination
- Experience in pluripotent derived cell therapies or CAR T
immunotherapy
- Experience setting up a laboratory before including equipment,
equipment software, and establishing SOPs
- Experience with LOVO Cell Processing System and any other cell reprogramming technologies
