Job Description

A large Healthcare client of Insight Global is looking for a REMOTE Associate Business Analyst. The ideal candidate would be local to OC but open to a candidate who is mirrored to the PST time zone. The Business Analyst will primarily focus on troubleshooting, managing encounter files that get rejected from the health plans, and analyzing CMS requirements.

Other responsibilities include but are not limited to:

1. Resolve encounter data rejections at the clearinghouse in compliance with health plan timeliness and accuracy metrics.

2. Analyze and correct errors on the X12 ANSI 837 Professional and Institutional file formats.

3. Trace encounters by reading X12 ANSI 999 and 277 file formats and utilizing platform information.

4. Monitor daily operations using checklist to confirm inbound and outbound files are successfully processed.

5. Track production issues and raise new concerns to leadership team immediately.

6. Utilize Microsoft SQL server to query encounters for reporting data.

7. Generate X12 ANSI 837 files in production and test environments as needed for reconciling encounter issues.

8. Collaborate with team members to prioritize errors and meet deadlines at the health plan as it relates to reporting accuracy.

This position will be Monday through Friday, work hours can be from 7am but no later than 9am starting point, PST hours.

Required Skills & Experience

- 1-4 years of experience as a Claims Analyst

- Healthcare and Claims Experience

- Claims Processing Experience

- EDI Experience

- Research analysis and data gathering experience

- Highschool/GED Required

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- 837 Format Experience

- SQL / Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio Experience

- EDIFECS Encounter Management
