Insight Global is looking for an SI/PI Validation Engineer to join one of the world's leading technology companies. Responsibilities for this include:
· Define electrical characterization/validation methodologies for high-speed/low-speed signal interfaces and different power subsystems by working with SIPI lead, system integration EE team and technology teams.
· Define and track detailed test plans for the PCB, modules, subsystems SIPI characterization. Characterization coverage includes power supplies (DC-DC, AC-DC), SoC, low speed signal interface (I2C, I2S, SPI, PDM...etc), I/O signals, high speed differential interface (MIPI, USB ...etc), electrical performance of subsystems such as optical sensors, microphones, cameras
· Drive and execute validation to meet key deadlines and priority goals. Design test plan including test procedures and targets.
· Own execution, interpretation, and reporting of results.
· Support system bring up and debug activities
· Clearly communicate test plans and results
Required Skills & Experience
· 3+ years of Electrical System testing for consumer electronics
· Experience with SIPI design - testing and validation
· Experience with MIPI - Cphy, Dphy signal interfaces
· Experience executing electrical testing on the bench. Familiarity with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, DMM, e-load, power supply, power analyzer, spectrum analyzer, signal generator, and temp chamber.
· Understanding of board schematics and board layout. Ability to find proper probe locations and identify potential points of failure in the DUT.
· Knowledge of Python for data processing and automation.
· Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience
· Self-motivated and team player
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
· Board and system level SIPI Validation and debugging experience
· C# and shell scripting is nice to have.
· Experience with VNA and ENA, logic analyzer, signal analyzer, battery simulator, data acquisition device (DAQ).
· Masters in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
