Job Description

Day To Day

The purpose of this role is to organize and control the preparation and execution of construction projects to meet company objectives of maximizing profit, quality, and safety. The Jr. Project Manager oversees small projects from commencement to completion. Their day to days responsibilities include:

* Organize and manage Pre-Construction Meetings

* Develop project budget

* Develop project schedules of values

* Manage positive cash flow, monitor margin gain and fade, maximizing gain and minimizing fade

* Deliver profit margin that meets or exceeds project estimate.

* Communicate to Project Executive and Branch Manager immediately when there is a problem with delays, inefficiencies, or impacts on a project

* Optimize change orders and buyouts

* Submittals, RFI's, Correspondence, Transmittals, Change Requests

* Deliver project to customers with a high level of quality and customer satisfaction

* Assure timely completion of project close-out including completion of the punch list, submission of accurate as-built drawings, operations manuals, and other administrative requirements

* Actively participate in industry, client, and community relations to enhance company image

* Complete contract reviews on projects

Required Skills & Experience

Must Haves:

* B.S in Construction Management and Engineering or equivalent combination of education and technical training in electrical contracting

* Handled yearly portfolio budgets up to 1 million dollars independently and/or managed larger projects with the assistance of a project manager

* 5 years in the electrical construction industry, 3 years in a project management position

o Understand electrical codes and terminology

o Handled change orders and managed project schedules

* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Accubid and Spectrum
