A Technical Artist is the key bridge between artists and engineers, and the Horizon Technical Art team is looking for a new member to help us build the experiences, and capabilities that are core to our Metaverse efforts.
Responsibilities:
Partner with the engineering, and other partner teams to build demos/prototypes/experiences that demonstrate our platform's latest capabilities
Develop and create high-quality, optimized 3D assets, materials and shaders as needed.
Implement runtime logic within a complex real-time environment with performance limitations in mind.
Implement dynamic and responsive visual effects that enhance the player's immersive experience
Quickly solve issues with cross-functional leads.
Thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Experience with prototyping and gameplay programming in Unity or Unreal
Expertise with multiple DCC packages (Maya, Houdini, Blender preferred)
Experience with procedural visual generation.
Expertise with multiple game engines (off the shelf, or proprietary)
Experience collaborating on multi-disciplinary teams.
Experience communicating across team members including engineers and designers.
Experience in real-time content creation (characters/environments/VFX/animation/lighting).
Experience working with version control systems (Git, Perforce, etc.)
Experience developing real-time experiences for VR headsets
Deep understanding of graphics pipeline, runtime behavior systems.
