Job Description

The Unreal Engine Technical Director applies practical knowledge of development and engineering to conceive, design, develop, test, and implement software fixes, enhancements, components, and/or new software systems and applications of moderate to high complexity.



The Unreal Engine Technical Director helps drive design and development of components through his/her own' and partner engineers' work. Day To Day



- Actively participate in technical and artistic discussions and problem-solving to enhance overall user experiences in Marketing Experiences.

- Design and develop core tools for 3D pipelines, working closely with developers, 3D Generalists, designers, and other development team members.

- Understand technical requirements and actively contribute to the evolution of pipeline and workflows.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and translate them into interactive AR solutions.

- Stay abreast of the latest trends and advancements in AR technology.

- Evaluate and integrate new technologies and tools into AR development pipelines to enhance the quality and capabilities of our projects.

- Create rapid prototypes to explore and validate new concepts and ideas.

- Conduct thorough testing and debugging of AR applications to ensure optimal performance across various devices.

Required Skills & Experience

- Familiarity with web-based AR technologies Expert knowledge of Unity3D and/or Unreal, including GUI, asset bundles, and materials/shaders.

- Excellent knowledge of texturing, shading, lighting and used to deal with complex CG pipelines Strong knowledge in 3D graphics development (Particle Systems, Shaders) and performance optimization within game development.

- Detailed knowledge of C#/C++ is essential.

- Ability to implement existing scripts and/or visual scripting modules into optimized and economic code within Unity and/or Unreal.

- Strong organizational and communication skills with an understanding of production values, deadlines, and priorities.

- Experience with shader development in Unity and/or Unreal

- Understanding of Maya and Python tool development Willingness to take direction and be a team player High self-motivation and proven ability to self-manage and meet deadlines Plusses 2+ years of 3D engine development experience within the entertainment industry.

- Previous experience working on projects that involve machine learning and computer vision Proficiency in software tools such as Houdini, Maya, 3ds Max, Cinema 4D, Nuke, After Effects Experience leading engineering teams (mentoring junior engineers, setting technical direction, etc.). Jira and Confluence experience Agile development

-Working and supporting building tools for Unreal

-2 to 3 years experience minimum working on pipeline projects-focused on building workflow with 3D Generalists

- Develop for mobile platforms that we can utilize for augmented reality





Must haves:

- Familiar with Augmented Reality Technologies
