Job Description
As a Supply Chain Manager, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing supply chain operations within this companies organization. You'll lead a dynamic team of 18-20 professionals, including Sourcing Specialists, Buyers, Supplier Technical Engineers, and Supply Chain Coordinators. Your focus will be on supporting the forging and machining operations while ensuring seamless coordination with other departments including sand casting and fabrications.
1. Team Leadership:
-Oversee and mentor a team of supply chain professionals.
-Foster teamwork, productivity, and continuous improvement.
2. Supplier Value Stream Performance:
-Ensure that the supplier value stream performance aligns with and synchronizes with the companies manufacturing operations and Customer Services demand.
-Drive efficiency and effectiveness across the supply chain.
3. Sourcing Strategy:
-Develop and execute a supplier sourcing strategy that supports business growth and cost reduction targets.
-Collaborate with Business Unit Managers to create a competitive advantage.
4. Risk Management:
-Identify and understand risks associated with the supply base.
-Implement effective risk mitigation strategies.
5. Quality Focus:
-Proactively identify quality risks within the supply chain.
-Drive continuous improvement in supplier performance.
6. Dimensions
-Spend: $100-$300 million
-Number of parts: 2,000-3,000
-Number of suppliers: 40-75
Required Skills & Experience
-Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field
-10+ years of experience in procurement, management, or manufacturing in the gas turbine, automotive, aerospace, or oil and gas industry/ 10+ years of experience in procurement, management, or manufacturing of raw materials
-Enterprise level sourcing management experience for around 2-3 thousand + parts
-Strong team building/ management experience
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
-15+ years of experience in procurement, management, or manufacturing
-Expert with 6 Sigma principles related to lean process improvement and project management
-Experience using BaaN 5c, ERP LN, or Windchill
-Professional certification in purchasing and or inventory management ( CSCP, CPM), CPIM, or CIRM.
