Insight Global is looking for 2 Network Engineers to join a growing team within the Lab/Testing team for a Fiber/Telecom company. This will be a hybrid based role with needing a few days a week onsite in the Sunnyvale/Mountain View location. We need candidates with a strong ability to troubleshoot issues and support cross functional teams. We need a problem solver, that seeks out issues and helps to remedy them. Core focus will come from supporting both the Lab/Testing team to take on different layers (access issues, router issues, gateway protocols).
* Understanding of IP and Access networking technologies - X/GPON, ISIS/OSPF, BGP, DHCP, DNS
o Fundamentals are key, not boxed into the technologies (gateway protocols)
o Issues usually arise in the labs, not changing day to day, but support if something goes down and know the layers (2-3), Or firewalls
o Issue/Problem identification
o Access connectivity issues
* Understanding of Radius, AAA and TACACs
o Access to devices -authentication (customers)
* Experience operating networking vendor gear e.g. Juniper, Nokia, Adtran, Ciena
* Troubleshooting experience with Nokia OLT and BNG platform. (more nice to have)
* Protocol understanding key and troubleshooting
* Communication is key and cross collaboration (provide updates, speak to non technical teams)
* Mid level-4+
* Understanding of Firewalls and ACLs
