Mechanical Assembler

As our Engineering Technician - Mechanical Assembly, you will become part of our production team supporting Hardware Integration contracts producing Consolidated Afloat Network and Enterprise Services (CANES), Automated Digital Network System (ADNS), and various other system equipment racks. This is a TEMPORARY opportunity with an expected duration of 6 to 8 weeks.



In this role you will:

* Build complicated assemblies, perform simple soldering, and build cables.

* Assist Lead technician with cable routing of various rack systems.

* Apply comprehensive technical knowledge to solve complex problems by interpreting manufacturers' manuals or similar documents.

* Work requires familiarity with the interrelationships of circuits and judgment in planning work sequence.

* Utilize tools and testing instruments.

* A High school diploma/GED

* Level 2: 2+ years' of hands-on experience in mechanical assembly of high technical products

* Level 3: 5+ years' of hands-on experience in mechanical assembly of high technical products

* The familiarity and experience with assembly from component installation through subassembly and top-level assembly

* Skills in complex mechanical, sub-assembly, rack and chassis assembly

* Skills in building, installation, and replacement of cable assemblies

* The ability to interpret and work to detailed drawings, assembly work instructions, blueprint diagram schematics
