UX Researcher IV

San Francisco or Menlo Park CA
Were looking for an experienced researcher whos energized by the messaging space. Were hiring for a 12-month contract role starting Dec 2023 or Jan 2024 on our Messenger team. Youll work closely with cross-functional partners and other researchers to identify user research questions and evaluate product solutions.

Job Responsibilities:
Collaborate closely with researchers designers product managers data scientists engineers to identify research questions
Collaboratively develop and execute a research roadmap
Conduct all phases of qualitative/mixed methods research planning data collection analysis reporting
Communicate findings and implications to stakeholders
Manage research vendors to help augment the work of the research team

Skills:
Comfortable with ambiguity and new spaces
Able to synthesize existing knowledge
Experience designing and conducting end-to-end user research including generative and evaluative methods
Experience conducting remote research
Qualitative research design data analysis and reporting
Quantitative research design data analysis and reporting
Ability to translate research findings to actionable recommendations
Ability to guide and influence cross-functional partners
Understanding of user experience principles and the product development process
Strong written and verbal communication skills

Education/Experience:
MA/MS in HCI or social science field psychology sociology communication information science media studies or economics
At least 5 years experience conducting user research in an industry setting
