Carpenter

Day-to-day:

An outdoor advertising company is looking for a Carpenter to create billboard extensions in the Torrance/LA area. The job responsibilities include performing skilled carpentry work in constructing, altering and maintaining wooden extensions to billboards based on specific client requests; tracing shapes of embellishments on plywood and utilize saws to cut correct shapes; assemble extensions using plywood, support backings, metal rods and screws, glue, or vinyl onto extensions and prepare for hanging; build other items as necessary (i.e. sections for wrap-around posters, base sheets for billboards); coordinates disposal of embellishments; assists departments by organizing order and loads; ordering wood, knives, drills, and other supplies as needed. The ideal candidate will be a creative, self-driven, reliable individual who is proficient in all carpentry tools including power saws, planers, routers, sanders, and joiners. Other aspects of the role include training installers and carpenters how to assemble embellishments and hang properly; hanging test billboards in yard for client viewing; painting base sheets and removing graffiti on boards in the field; and assist other departments with carpentry and painting as needed.

Must Haves:

· High school diploma or equivalent

· Valid Driver's License (clear driving record, free of DUI/reckless driving/etc.) -- travel required, weekend work while traveling (stipend/reimbursements provided)

· 3+ year(s) of experience in a carpentry role

-Construction field experience
